John Kelly is pretty serious about his new job, and he has already made a few important things. One of the first things Kelly did was calling Attorney General Jeff Sessions. This wouldn’t be so strange if the tension between Sessions and President Donald Trump didn’t exist. This is a rather unusual call, but seems like the new White House chief of staff knew what he was doing.

According to a story in worldpoliticus.com:
Kelly assured Sessions that his position is safe, adding that the White House supports his work. According to Kelly, the White House actually wants him to continue his activities. The information was confirmed by WH officials who wanted to remain anonymous due to the fact that they aren’t authorized to give any report regarding the private conversation.
The newly appointed chief of staff revealed that President Trump is still bothered with Sessions’ work, but confirmed that he has no intention of firing him. Nobody at the White House wants Sessions to resign.
Sessions and President Trump were close allies, but our leader disapproved his decision to recuse himself from the Russia probe. President Trump believes that this decision is nothing but a pure act of disloyalty. Let’s not forget that this word doesn’t even exist in the President’s dictionary.
The situation got tense last week, and President Trump triggered an avalanche of criticism against Sessions. President Trump was angry at Sessions, and called him “beleaguered,” “very weak” and disapproved his decision to stop investigation Hillary Clinton. The President said that he would have never nominated Sessions for the attorney general post if he knew that he’d recuse himself. Wow… This was quite a shot, and Sessions seemed to be worried about his job.
“We will see what happens. Time will tell. Time will tell,” President Trump said during the news conference last week.
President Trump is determined to make whatever change his cabined demands, because he would never excuse a failure. Well, maybe Sessions is safe for the moment, and we can only wait to see what happens next.
What do you think about the call John Kelly made? Do you think President Trump will fire Sessions?
