According to story in Right Wing Conservative News:
The mainstream media has been focused on the recent scandals involving Fox personalities like Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity. The left has used the opportunity to call conservatives all their favorite names from misogynists to rapists. Yet nobody is mentioning the much larger incident of misconduct happening at a liberal news outlet.
If you haven’t heard about the class action suit happening over at CNN, you aren’t alone. It is worth applauding their efforts to keep the massive discrimination lawsuit under wraps. 175 employees, current and former, are suing the media giant with allegations that the “company’s Atlanta headquarters is rife with racism.”
The claims are specific and severe. Former workers Celeslie Henley and Ernest Colbert Jr. assert that they were subjected to remarks such as, “It’s hard to manage black people” and “Who would be worth more: black slaves from times past, or new slaves?”
Colbert says he was paid thousands less than his white counterparts as a manager. Henley makes similar accusations. She says that she was fired from her position as a CNN executive assistant after seven years for complaining about the disparity in salaries of black and white employees.
CNN is focused on Fox’s problems when they should be worried about their own.
The lawsuit also states that “The Company has created an employment scheme that requires African-American generally to work three times as long as their Caucasian counterparts in order to receive any type of promotion, and even when a promotion is obtained, the progress of African-American employees is blocked by a glass ceiling…”
It goes on to point out that in “Defendants’ forty-six-year history, no African American has ever been selected as president of any of Defendants’ organizations.”
