Poll Context: Trump returned from his trip to Scotland to learn that George Will had decided to quit the republican party.
“This is not my party,” Will, a frequent Trump critic, said during a Friday speech to the Federalist Society, according to PJ Media.
Will said he has switched his Maryland voter registration to “unaffiliated.”
“Make sure he loses,” Will said during a later interview, adding that Republicans should “grit their teeth for four years”while Hillary has the white house.
Trump responded by tweeting,
George Will, one of the most overrated political pundits (who lost his way long ago), has left the Republican Party. He’s made many bad calls
