Poll Context: In recent weeks, there has been increasing discussion about the possibility that House Speaker Rep. Paul Ryan could emerge out of a brokered convention as the Republican nominee if the donor class is successful in denying Donald Trump the requisite 1,237 delegates.
Former House Speaker John Boehner said,
“If we don’t have a nominee who can win on the first ballot, I’m for none of the above… I’m for Paul Ryan to be our nominee.”
“If it’s an open convention, it’s very likely [the nominee] would be someone who’s not currently running,” Ryan’s fellow Wisconsinite Governor Scott Walker said recently.
So would you vote for Ryan at the general election?
