Barack Obama spent just 51 seconds on Brussels before going back to Cuba speech. He then went to a baseball game. He said,
“please indulge me” before committing that the U.S. “will do whatever is necessary” to support the people of Belgium.
“The thoughts and prayers of the American people are with the people of Belgium and we stand in solidarity with them in condemning these outrageous attacks against innocent people,” Obama said. “We will do whatever is necessary to support our friend and ally, Belgium, in bringing to justice to those who are responsible.”
He said that the attack “is yet another reminder that the world must unite … regardless of nationality, or race, or faith in fighting against the scourge of terrorism.”
Then he went back to his Cuba agenda. Instead of reassuring the American public of what he is doing to prevent these attacks coming to the US he went to a baseball game then off to Argentina.
