According to national poll Rasmussen Reports:
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters approve of President Trump’s job performance. Fifty-four percent (54%) disapprove.
The latest figures include 28% who Strongly Approve of the way Trump is performing and 43% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15. (see trends).

Senate Republicans are expected to exercise the so-called “nuclear option,” reducing the numbers of votes needed to confirm a Supreme Court nominee to a simple majority, following unified Democratic opposition to Judge Neil Gorsuch. Voters see opposition to Trump’s first nominee to the high court as driven more by politics than by concerns about his judicial thinking.
Although congressional Republicans have yet to pass anything of substance this year, most Democrats think they are already too pushy about they want.
Similarly, 77% of Democrats and 57% of unaffiliated voters say Trump’s leadership style is too confrontational. Among GOP voters, however, 57% think the president’s leadership is about right; 34% say it’s too confrontational.
Among Republican voters, 56% say their views are closest to those of the president, while 25% say their views most closely align with those of the average congressional Republican.
