According to a story in Conservative Tribune:
Despite international condemnation and multiple United Nations resolutions to the contrary, North Korea has increasingly thumbed its nose at other countries and persisted in test launching prohibited intercontinental ballistic missiles.
While North Korea has been conducting provocative test launches on a regular basis for some time now, the Islamic Republic of Iran appears keen to get in on the action as well, recently testing a submarine-launched ballistic missile to grab some attention.
But much like that scene in the 1986 classic film “Crocodile Dundee,” when the un-intimidated Aussie laughingly responds to a switchblade-wielding street thug by whipping out a much larger, much more dangerous hunting knife, so President Donald Trump and the U.S. Air Force have responded to the provocative test launches of North Korea and Iran.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Air Force tested an unarmed Minuteman III ICBM from Vandenberg Air Force Base in California in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, the second such test launch in a week.
“The purpose of the ICBM test launch program is to validate and verify the effectiveness, readiness and accuracy of the weapon system,” the Air Force Global Strike Command explained in a statement.
The missile reportedly traveled some 4,200 miles to a test range located on the Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands in the Pacific Ocean.
