Donald Trump is currently leading the pack with 678 delegates in the Republican presidential race, but that may not be enough for him to win the nomination. If the front-runner fails to amass the 1,237 delegates necessary to secure the party’s nomination before July’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland, the event could be brokered. If Trump continues to win at the rate he has, he may well get to his target but Cruz is now getting the support of many of the party faithful although John Kasich may well pull enough votes to prevent either for winning the prize.
